fancy shape diamonds Any cut of diamond that is not round is considered a fancy cut.
By far the most popular cut of diamond is the round brilliant cut. However, this does not necessarily mean that this is the right shape for you. There are many other cuts that are beautiful in their own right.
Below are images of the most available fancy cuts.

fancy coloured diamondsNatural Fancy Colour DiamondsNatural Fancy Colour Diamonds are miracles of nature. They are formed over billions of years, far below the earth's surface under rare and unusual circumstances. Minute amounts of trace elements interact with carbon atoms bring about the natural colours in these diamonds.
Tiny amounts of nitrogen create yellow and orange shades, Boron creates blues, hydrogen creates violet. Incredible pressure may realign or twist the diamond's crystal structure creating reds, pinks, purples and browns. Millions of years of natural radiation form green diamonds.
Some colours happen in naturally far less than others. These natural coloured diamonds are valued accordingly.

Treated Fancy Colour DiamondsSome diamonds get put through a process called HPHT. This stands fo High Pressure High Temperature. basically recreating the environment in which they were formed, just sped up considerably. This treatment affects the colours of the diamonds. It cannot be determined what colour they will turn out to be. Some beautiful colours are created. Because they are not naturally coloured the prices are of course considerably cheaper. The process is permanent and the diamonds themselves are natural, so the only treatment is what has been done to the colour. Anything else that could be done e.g. fracture filling, must be disclosed by the jeweller. We do not carry fracture filled diamonds as it is not a permanent treatment. Treated Fancy Colour Diamonds cannot be graded for colour.
